What We Tested

Dated SoundPath Lab functional test on 2026-09-07 with WiiM Home 3.6.7.26090120 and firmware 4.8.827634 (build 20260828). Original media directly supports the physical RCA chain, app/device UI, AirPlay control and output-setting workflow. The tester workbook additionally records passed onboarding, rediscovery, firmware update, Spotify Connect, RCA line input, variable RCA output, basic optical/coaxial output, graphic EQ and basic multiroom checks; DLNA/recovery and fixed-output behavior were conditional. No listening-quality or measurement claim is made.

What We Have Not Tested

Qobuz Connect, Google Cast, TIDAL Connect, Roon, room correction, negotiated digital sample rates/bit-perfect output, measured analogue performance, measured PEQ behavior, a controlled fixed-output verification and repeat long-duration recovery remain NOT TESTED or awaiting a tighter SoundPath Lab retest. Long-term reliability is unknown.

Supported with conditions / Unknown

Qobuz Connect is officially supported on Pro Plus with the latest Qobuz app and WiiM firmware on the same network; SoundPath Lab has not tested that service. Best used with an existing amplifier or powered speakers that have a compatible input. HDMI ARC, built-in speaker power and a headphone output are not provided. Official WiiM Qobuz Connect support and conditions (verified 2026-09-13).

Known Issues · Issues & Fixes

What Changed Since Launch?

A scoped SoundPath Lab functional test was added on 2026-09-07. It does not convert untested services, measurements or long-term behavior into tested claims.

Alternatives

WiiM Ultra when HDMI ARC, phono, display or managed subwoofer integration matters; WiiM Mini when spending less solves the same path; Arylic LP10 or Bluesound NODE for different ecosystem priorities.

Existing Owner Upgrade Advice

Keep the Pro Plus unless a newer product adds a specific required connection or system function. A higher model number alone is not an upgrade reason.

Long-term evidence / follow-up status

A dated 2026-09-07 functional test is attached, but this is not a six-month ownership study. Long-term reliability and sufficient 6+ month Owner Pulse evidence remain unknown.

Is It Still Worth Buying in September 2026?

Still a sensible add-streaming-without-replacing-the-amplifier option. The tested AirPlay/RCA path is usable, while recovery, DLNA handoff and fixed-output behavior deserve targeted retesting. Spend more only when extra connections or system control solve a documented need.
