Review Methodology

SoundPath Lab evaluates audio products as parts of real systems, not as isolated specification sheets.

What we assess
Depending on the product, we examine build quality, controls, setup, app experience, connectivity, format support, stability, interoperability, measured or documented capabilities, listening performance, ergonomics, and value.

System matching
We consider how a product works with common sources, amplifiers, headphones, speakers, televisions, networks, and multi-room platforms. Compatibility claims are limited to combinations we have verified or reliable documentation clearly supports.

Listening and comparisons
Listening impressions are compared at matched levels whenever practical. We separate audible observations from preferences and avoid treating small differences as universal improvements. Direct comparisons use the same source material and equivalent settings where possible.

Software and firmware
The tested firmware, app, and relevant settings are recorded when they may affect results. Because software changes, readers should check the article date and update notes.

Conclusions
Recommendations consider performance, usability, reliability, support, price, and the needs of the intended user. A higher score or stronger recommendation does not mean a product is best for every system.
