WiiM has begun a staged rollout of firmware 5.2.826052 for the WiiM Ultra. Released on 12 August 2026, the update targets four specific playback and control problems, including a high-impact fault in which a long press on the remote could make volume continue rising to 100.

What the update changes

WiiM lists four fixes:

WiiM released firmware 5.2.827567 on 27 August 2026 as a staged rollout. The maintenance release updates the Soundtrack SDK, improves multi-room synchronization and playback stability, and again lists a fix for Spotify Connect pop noise when skipping tracks. WiiM also says it prevents certain speakers from leaving a group when playback begins.

This update does not replace the historical 5.2.826052 record above. The repeated Spotify pop-noise fix is manufacturer-confirmed but remains independently unverified across the installed base. It should not be treated as proof that the separate single-source static-click report or unrelated playback complaints are resolved.

Update availability can vary during the staged rollout, and WiiM does not publish a general rollback method on the cited page.
