Its optical output can deliver up to 24-bit/192 kHz, making it a sensible low-cost digital transport for an external DAC. The built-in analog output is convenient, but owners of revealing systems may prefer the optical connection to a better DAC or amplifier.

Where WiiM Mini is weaker

• No Ethernet port, so it depends on Wi-Fi.

Arylic LP10: more hardware features and Google Cast

LP10 is the more versatile physical device. It adds dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.0, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA/UPnP, optical output, analog input and output, USB playback, touch controls, an OLED display and an infrared remote.

The feature that most clearly separates it from WiiM Mini is Google Cast. Where LP10 needs caution

• Arylic states that LP10 uses the GO CONTROL app; the older 4STREAM app is not available for this model.
• Its native Arylic multi-room behavior differs from older Arylic devices. Arylic says cross-device grouping should use AirPlay 2 or Google Cast rather than the older Arylic-native multi-room system.
• The analog output is specified at 1 Vrms, lower than WiiM Mini's 2 Vrms output, so equal volume positions do not mean equal performance.
• USB playback is useful, but Arylic lists limits of about 1,000 songs or 16 GB. It should not be treated as a replacement for a large NAS library.
• Because LP10 combines newer software, Google Cast and a newer control app, buyers should update firmware and test their preferred services during the return period.

Sound quality: the connection matters more than the logo

When both products feed the same external DAC through optical output at matched levels, the audible difference may be small or nonexistent in a properly functioning system. The larger differences are software, protocol support, network stability and connection options.

Using their internal analog outputs can produce a more noticeable difference. WiiM Mini offers a higher nominal line level, while speaker placement, amplifier gain and volume matching can easily mislead quick comparisons. Compare at matched listening levels before deciding one is more detailed or dynamic.

Arylic's current LP10 update guide lists firmware AR241CE_9243/16-0e74fa98 and GO CONTROL 2.1.1.501 for its update workflow. Arylic's release notes list GO CONTROL 2.1.4.543 dated 19 May 2026. Version availability can vary by platform and region; confirm the installed app and firmware on the unit you are testing.

Reader reports on Arylic's forum describe setup, Bluetooth reconnection and optical-output behavior under some phones and DACs. These reports are not model-wide defect verification. Update — 24 August 2026

• WiiM Mini firmware 4.6.819436, dated 8 June 2026, fixed occasional AirPlay playback dropouts and added WiiM Radio support. This is relevant to buyers prioritizing AirPlay stability, but staged rollouts mean the installed version should still be checked after setup.
• Arylic's official store currently lists the LP10 at $99. A temporary 10% promotion has shown $89.10 on the campaign page; SoundPath Lab does not use that limited discount as the normal comparison price.
• WiiM's current support documentation continues to confirm that WiiM Mini does not support Google Cast, Google Assistant or Google Home integration. LP10 therefore retains its clearest advantage for Google-oriented households.
