Eversolo V1.6.01 and V1.1.80 Firmware Fix Library, Streaming and App Problems

Eversolo published two model-specific firmware branches on 17 August 2026. Version V1.6.01 is listed for the DMP-A10, DMP-A8, DMP-A6 Gen 2, DMP-A6 Master Gen 2, Play and T8. Version V1.1.80 is listed for the newer DMP-A8 Gen 2, DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 and T10.

The official notes name practical fixes for local-library parsing and sorting, UPnP scanning, streaming-service failures, SMB behaviour and mobile-control reliability. The V1.1.80 branch also adds DSD playback for Emby and Jellyfin.

Models and versions

These are separate firmware branches. Owners should follow the OTA or download path shown for their exact model and must not install a package intended for another branch.

What V1.6.01 changes

Eversolo says V1.6.01 fixes incorrect M4A format parsing and track-list sorting for certain albums. It also addresses occasional errors while scanning some UPnP directories, missing playback details during Random Play, failure to play certain NRG tracks and occasional SoundCloud playback failure.

The release improves music-library scan speed, embedded-artwork retrieval, album-artist scanning and sorting, and Internet Radio playback details. Library sorting now ignores “The” by default.

What V1.1.80 changes

V1.1.80 adds DSD playback for Emby and Jellyfin, album track skipping, artwork reset for artists and composers, removal of tracks from the history queue and other library-management changes.

Eversolo also lists improvements to Spotify Connect stability, SMB sharing and startup playback, incomplete UPnP album retrieval, OpenSubsonic playback, streaming-cache playback, an occasional Apple Music Library crash and mobile-control connection stability.

Other listed fixes cover possible loss of favourites data, slow or incomplete library refreshes, incorrect M4A and Emby format displays, garbled ID3 information, certain NRG failures, occasional SoundCloud failures and abnormal Internet Radio details.

Several entries use wording such as “optimized.” SoundPath Lab therefore treats them as manufacturer-stated improvements, not proof that every earlier complaint is resolved on every unit.

How to update

Check the update screen on the exact device and confirm the model name and target version before starting. Eversolo also provides an optional beta-update setting under Settings → Update. The cited release pages do not state that V1.6.01 or V1.1.80 is beta-only, but owners who do not want beta software should confirm that the beta option is disabled.

Do not interrupt power during installation. Eversolo does not document a general rollback method on the cited pages, so record the current version and configuration before updating.

Verification status and risks

Verification is high for the versions, release date, model branches and stated changes because they come from Eversolo's official Downloads Center and model-level notes.

The following remain Pending verification:

• completion of the worldwide OTA rollout;
• whether every listed model received the package in every region at the same time;
• rollback availability;
• independent confirmation that the named defects no longer reproduce;
• any new regression not described by Eversolo.

No existing SoundPath Lab Product Issues record exactly matches these changelog items. The separate DMP-A6 Gen 2 no-power investigation concerns a different failure mode and is not resolved by these notes.
