Sony has ended the paid features of its Music Pro recording app and has scheduled the complete service shutdown for October 27, 2026. Sony explicitly advises users to export any audio or video data held in their projects before that date.

Shutdown schedule

Music Pro should no longer be treated as a supported long-term feature when evaluating a compatible Xperia phone or recording workflow. The phone hardware remains usable, but the app-dependent recording and processing workflow is being withdrawn.
