Audio forums can reveal useful edge cases and ownership trade-offs, but a thread is not a defect-rate study. Problems and software changes to watch

WiiM Pro Plus: flashing LED and failed connection. One owner reported a rapidly flashing white LED, occasional red flashes, failure to factory-reset, and a device the WiiM Home app could not find. Changing the power supply, Ethernet cable and router did not restore that unit; other owners described similar symptoms. A WiiM team member said the device might be defective and advised contacting support through the app’s feedback channel about replacement. No firmware version or root cause was established. WiiM Bar: A/V-sync beta, not a general fix. WiiM recruited home-theater testers for beta version 5.2.829948. Its team said scheduling changes reduced Dolby-audio delay by approximately 40–80 ms in its testing. One participant who had not noticed much delay beforehand reported no obvious lip-sync change and said other issues remained. Roon to HomePod after Apple OS 27.0 updates. Owners reported that Roon could still discover a HomePod and show playback progress after iOS/iPadOS and HomePod OS 27.0 updates, yet the HomePod produced no sound. SVS SB-4000: app control lost in one installation. An owner said the subwoofer continued making sound but stopped appearing in the SVS app after it had been turned on its side to fit isolation feet. Sonore Rendu / Sonicorbiter 3.0: beta features with one reported quirk. A reviewer described the new Debian-based interface, separately updateable apps, Qobuz Connect, A/B rollback and AES67/Ravenna support capped at 24-bit/96 kHz on Rendu. WiiM Vibelink Amp. Audio Science Review’s measurements and commentary highlighted the integrated DAC, internal power supply, rear-panel layout and 12 V trigger. Its reviewer found optical input avoided a ground loop present in that particular RCA test setup; the observation should not be generalized to every installation. Fosi S3 Streamer. In a garage system, an owner liked its sound and broad connection options, but explicitly called the sound comparison informal. The app felt less capable than the owner’s WiiM Amp app, and the subwoofer output was said to lack bass management. Confirm exact ports and current software features with Fosi before buying. Eversolo T10. AVForums rated the streaming transport 8.5/10, praising its build, interface and operation. The review noted added external-clock input, 8 GB of memory, upsampling and EvoTune EQ compared with T8, but no Chromecast; its early AirPlay experience was less stable than T8. Roksan Attessa Streaming Amp. A user dissatisfied with wireless performance at home reported a stable connection after using a TP-Link RE550 Wi-Fi extender and Ethernet from the extender to the amp. Denafrips Pontus 15th. One owner suspected an RCA output-to-amplifier input-impedance mismatch after hearing unwanted bass and vocal changes and noticing the amplifier ran warmer. XLR changed the result, but did not make the owner prefer the pairing; another Pontus owner disagreed with the broader impression. Neither impedance figures nor controlled measurements were provided. New-product previews and weaker evidence

StereoNET introduced the Silent Angel H1 as a desktop streaming hub with dual ESS DACs, expandable internal storage and a 5.5-inch display. Three further threads are useful as leads but too subjective for firm verdicts. An Astell & Kern SP4000 owner liked detail and display quality after a week but disliked its weight and price; earphone matching affected preference.
