App compatibility — separate from security support

Sennheiser’s Smart Control Plus FAQ explicitly lists six of these nine models: ACCENTUM Plus Wireless, ACCENTUM True Wireless, ACCENTUM Wireless, MOMENTUM 4 Wireless, MOMENTUM Sport and MOMENTUM True Wireless 4. Separate official support/product pages confirm Smart Control Plus for HDB 630 and MOMENTUM 5. ACCENTUM Open was not individually listed in the checked Smart Control Plus FAQ; that absence is not proof of incompatibility. No dated app-support end has been published for any of the nine. Status: Pending verification.

Revision — 1 October 2026: added the model-specific Smart Control Plus boundary without treating app compatibility as part of the security-update deadline or inferring that an unlisted model is unsupported.

For a used purchase, compare the remaining support window alongside condition, price and the functions you need. For an existing pair, keep a dated record of firmware and check the manufacturer's policy again before the relevant deadline.

Evidence: manufacturer policy, updated 21 September 2026; no SoundPath Lab post-support test. Record: SPL-SEN-SEC-001. This is a support-policy record, not a discovered vulnerability.
