Issue ID: SPL-ARY-BP50-FW0057-001 · Product ID: product:arylic-bp50 · Updated / last checked: 11 October 2026.

Status: open-confirmed, based on repeated Owner reports. SoundPath Lab has not reproduced this failure. The record concerns the Arylic BP50 manual PC-update workflow associated with historical firmware 0057-d94126e9, announced on 23 September 2024. Discussion in 2026 is not a new release.

Reports describe the updater closing or returning an error, followed by an inaccessible device: red STBY, alternating STBY/BT, unavailable Go Control discovery or lost USB recognition. These are reported symptoms, not a demonstrated common root cause. Affected hardware revisions, total devices and failure rate remain Unknown. B50, B50 SE and LP10 are different models and are excluded.

Nine distinct reporting accounts — evidence and limits

The table counts accounts once, not posts or verified physical devices. Some posts name BP50 and the full package; others rely on an explicit BP50 reply chain or the exact firmware topic. That distinction is retained below. It does not establish every reporter installed the identical file, or that the devices and people are independently authenticated.

Carlos_Gomez · 12 Feb / 9 Mar 2025BP50 and 0057 explicit; later post names full 0057-d94126e9STBY/BT flashing and loss of Go Control; repeated posts counted once
Seb · 21 Apr 2025BP50 explicit; new-firmware reference in 0057 thread, hash not restatedTool closed; red standby and reported unsuccessful USB-stick attempt
Raul_Savu · 4 Jan 2026BP50 explicit; last-published version claimed, no hash shownUSB/app update followed by red Standby and no operation

Positive reports exist too: dom83.fr reports a BP50 update from 55-e12492a2 to 57-d94126e9 succeeded in February 2026. A success report does not recover a failed device; the reports do not establish that every attempt fails.

Manufacturer instructions are limited recovery guidance

Arylic's current update guide covers B50 and BP50 on Windows 10 or later. It requires a data cable; USB-A to USB-C is specified for firmware .52 or older. Do not cut power, disconnect USB or close the updater during installation.

Arylic says to retry a failed update while power and USB remain connected. A staff reply also suggests a known data cable. Neither statement is a generally verified recovery procedure for a unit already restarted into red STBY or no longer recognized over USB. B50's separate 0063 volume-fix package must not be described as a BP50 remedy.

Owner and buyer action

Do not install this historical package merely because it is available. Confirm the exact BP50 model, installed version, current official package and a documented support/recovery route first. For an inaccessible unit, contact official support with the model, previous version, updater error and sequence of events; do not assume another model's file or a successful user's workaround will recover it.

Timeline: first matching report 4 November 2024; repeated reports through April 2025; further BP50/reply-context reports January–February 2026. Manufacturer contact by SPL: not performed. Manufacturer acknowledgement of a universal BP50 defect or recall: not located. General recovery, affected revisions and support deadline: Unknown. No lifecycle or buying-score change is inferred.

Evidence: public Owner accounts and manufacturer documentation; no SPL device test or independent repair acceptance. Revision: 11 Oct 2026 — Initial canonical record; duplicates, other models and unrelated ARC/noise complaints excluded from the nine-account count.
