Interfaces, streaming and system role

Recorded capabilities

Official specifications list 106 dB signal-to-noise ratio and −92 dB THD+N for the analogue output.

Recorded connections

  • Input: RCA line and optical S/PDIF
  • Network: Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi
  • Output: RCA line, optical and coaxial S/PDIF
  • No HDMI ARC, speaker output or headphone output
Key limitationWiiM Pro is a source component, not an amplifier. It needs powered speakers, an integrated amplifier, a receiver or a separate DAC-and-amplifier chain. For a stronger built-in analogue conversion stage, compare WiiM Pro Plus; for TV integration, compare WiiM Ultra or a WiiM amplifier.
Decision path

Choose it for the system job

Use its digital output

Choose optical or coaxial output when an existing DAC or amplifier already handles conversion well. This is the clearest reason to prefer Pro over Mini: wired networking and broader physical connectivity.

Use its analogue output

RCA output can feed an amplifier or powered speakers directly. Treat its volume control, DSP and multi-room features as system tools, while keeping the Pro Plus as the stronger analogue-output alternative.
