RME's official company archive states that its German development team was founded in 1996. The current official imprint identifies Audio AG in Haimhausen, Germany, as the responsible operating company for RME site content.

Product families and platform boundaries

SoundPath Lab currently tracks three Tier C ADI-2 family products, all at L0. RME's wider range includes interfaces, converters, preamplifiers, network-audio and MADI systems. Drivers, firmware, TotalMix FX and ADI-2 Remote are family- and operating-system-specific; they must not be generalized across every RME product.

Support and lifecycle

RME provides current and legacy downloads, manuals, a knowledge base, registration and regional support contacts. Its official forum is a community route, not a substitute for formal support. All three tracked lifecycle states remain Unknown, and an available legacy driver archive does not prove indefinite operating-system support.
