SL-1500C platform upgrade with ΔΣ-Drive motor control, a fitted MM cartridge and automatic end-of-record arm lift. This is a February 2026 announcement, not an October debut.

- Iron-coreless single-rotor/single-stator direct drive with ΔΣ-Drive control. Maintain a separate identity from SL-1500C.
- Static-balanced S-shaped aluminum tonearm; pre-mounted Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge.
- Built-in MM phono equalizer allows connection to a line input; separate phono output allows an external phono stage. Do not feed an equalized line signal into another phono stage.
- Automatic end-of-record tonearm lift is documented; full automatic return is not established.
- 453 × 169 × 372 mm; approximately 9.9 kg. Metallic grey is a finish, not a second product ID.
- Official announcement: 23 February 2026; announced authorized-retailer availability from March. Present regional inventory and price are unverified.
Best for
A straightforward MM vinyl system needing both equalized line and phono connections, with automatic arm lift.
Avoid if
You require fully automatic arm return, independently verified motor-performance improvements or confirmed local stock.

No SPL wow/flutter or sound-quality test. Region-specific manual, service terms, current price and actual delivery remain to verify; the SL-1500C support lifecycle is not inferred to end.
