LS-RC 2026 is a passive replacement IEM cable under FiiO. It changes connector options; it is not a DAC, amplifier or wireless adapter. The 2026 model is a hardware identity, not a colour-based ID. No SoundPath Lab listening, electrical or durability test was performed.
Connection requirements
The IEM end is flat 0.78mm two-pin; check socket shape, recess, polarity and strain clearance on the exact IEM. The source end accepts supplied interchangeable 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced straight plugs using a twist-lock system. The 4.4mm plug is fitted as supplied. This is not MMCX or a dual-3.5mm earcup cable; it does not fit NATURE by connector type. Match the source output and plug before connecting; a balanced label does not establish compatibility with every amplifier.
Documented construction
Official Japan documentation lists a 1.2m cable, 25AWG conductors, eight strands and 144 conductor wires with silver-plated OCC copper and TPU covering. These construction and material statements are manufacturer/importer claims. Claimed soundstage or conductivity benefits are not accepted as independently demonstrated audible improvements.
Best for / avoid if
Consider it when a compatible two-pin IEM needs a replacement cable or interchangeable source plugs. Keep a working cable if it already provides the required connection. Avoid it for MMCX, incompatible recessed sockets, a headphone needing dual earcup connectors, or an expectation of proven sonic improvement. Connector fit and correct channel/polarity take priority over material marketing.
Japan event and unknowns
Announced in Japan on 9 October 2026, with planned local release on 17 October and tax-included estimated street price JPY 17,600 (open pricing); JAN 4562314022902. This does not prove global introduction or actual stock. Region-specific warranty, repair/replacement terms, long-term durability, other-market prices and lifecycle remain Unknown. This passive cable has no documented firmware-update role. Reassess on verified delivery, revised compatibility/support documentation or independent electrical/fit testing.
