Cambridge Audio Spira
L2 Decision Profile · official documentation and editorial system-fit assessment
A flexible first turntable for amplifier line input, active speakers or a Bluetooth audio receiver.
Manufacturer documentation and system-fit reasoning reviewed. No SPL listening, measurement, compatibility, firmware or ownership test was performed.
Best for
Users wanting an internal phono stage, electronic speed selection and replaceable cartridge parts.
Avoid if
You require Bluetooth reception, USB recording, automatic return or measured speed/latency guarantees.
Strengths
Switchable RCA phono/line, electronic speed dial, removable headshell and Bluetooth audio transmission.
Specifications and conditions
Manufacturer claims; these are not SoundPath Lab measurements.

System compatibility
Power off before switching output level. LINE connects to amplifier LINE; PHONO connects to external phono stage/amplifier Phono with ground as directed. Pair Bluetooth to a receiving speaker or headphone.
Alternatives by need
AT-LP70XBT is the existing automatic alternative. Rega Planar1 is a manual option needing an external phono path. Compare the complete system cost, not unsupported sound rankings.
Keep or upgrade
Keep a reliable deck that already connects to the system; replace a worn stylus or add the missing connection before replacing the whole unit.
Reassessment
Recheck on final manuals, verified regional stock, material firmware/support changes, resolved conflicts or accepted independent tests.
Limits and unknowns
Bluetooth transmits only. LINE mode must not feed a Phono input. Firmware support, codec details and independent performance are unverified.
