- Description: BP50 can feed Mini300 through RCA, but it has no trigger output. Separate TV CEC, audio routing and amplifier power control before buying a cable.

**The short answer:** connect the Arylic BP50 to the TOPPING Mini300 for audio through RCA, but do not buy a trigger cable expecting the BP50 to switch the amplifier on. Arylic lists no trigger output on the BP50\. The Mini300 requires an upstream trigger output for its trigger mode.

*Evidence checked October 1, 2026\. This is a Compatibility and Build planning guide, not a SoundPath Lab Tested system.*

## One system, two separate connections

The practical question is not whether these two boxes have enough sockets. It is whether the audio path and the power-control path both meet your needs. They perform different jobs. An audio cable carries the programme; a trigger cable tells a downstream device when to wake or enter standby.

For this proposed chain, the audio route is BP50 RCA line output to Mini300 RCA input, then the amplifier to passive speakers. Select SE on the Mini300 for its RCA input. This route follows the documented interfaces; we have not connected this pair and measured its noise, gain or behaviour.

The control route has a missing link. BP50 has no documented Trigger Out. Mini300 has a 3.5mm 12V Trigger IN and needs its front power switch in TRIG to use it. An input cannot originate the missing command.

**Primary-source Verified:** Arylic’s [BP50 comparison table](https://www.arylic.com/en-eu/products/bp50-bluetooth-preamplifier?ref=soundpathlab.com) lists Trigger Out as None. TOPPING’s [Mini300 manual V1.1](https://www.toppingaudio.com/download/mini-300-user-manual?ref=soundpathlab.com) documents the input and switch positions.

## Why TV CEC does not finish the chain

Arylic describes HDMI ARC with CEC as providing TV/BP50 power and volume synchronisation. That statement covers those devices. It does not establish an output capable of controlling a separate power amplifier.

**Editorial Inference:** a TV may successfully wake the BP50 while the Mini300 stays off. That outcome alone would not demonstrate a broken trigger input or a firmware fault. First establish which device is supposed to generate the command.

TOPPING’s [May 11, 2026 trigger explainer](https://www.toppingaudio.com/news/on-off-trigger-auto-standby-wake-up?ref=soundpathlab.com) distinguishes signal detection from 12V control and says to connect an upstream Trigger OUT to a downstream Trigger IN. Its general discussion of signal-triggered DACs does not establish that Mini300 wakes from analogue audio. The Mini300 manual specifies manual or 12V-synchronised switching.

## Choose the workflow before buying accessories

**Keep both boxes and switch the amplifier manually.** This is the simplest documented route. Use Mini300 ON for listening and OFF when finished. Keep TRIG for a system that actually supplies the required control signal. If one extra switch is acceptable, automatic startup is not a reason by itself to replace otherwise suitable equipment.

**Make automatic startup a requirement for the upstream device.** If one-command operation is essential, choose a preamplifier or controller with a documented trigger output and the audio inputs you need. Confirm its output voltage, connector wiring and standby behaviour against the Mini300 requirements before purchase. A trigger-capable replacement can still lose the BP50’s particular source-routing features, so compare the complete workflow.

**Treat an external controller as a separate project.** It must have a verified compatible output and a clearly defined command source. It adds another device, power supply and support dependency. We have not validated an accessory for this pair and therefore do not recommend a generic converter as a proven solution.

A cable alone does not add trigger generation. Do not repurpose the BP50’s power input, RCA output or USB connection as a trigger output. A matching-looking connector or a nominal voltage printed on a power supply is insufficient evidence of a supported control interface.

## Owner responsibility: commission the audio path first

The following is an editorial commissioning plan, not a report of tests we completed. Separate basic sound delivery from automation so that a power-control problem does not obscure an input-selection problem.

1. Read the current manuals and turn equipment off before changing connections. TOPPING requires its own DC adapter.
2. Connect the BP50 line output to Mini300 RCA input, select SE and begin with low volume. Establish an audible, controlled audio path before trying TV automation.
3. Check source changes and volume response. Do not assume a previous volume setting is appropriate after reconnecting devices; there is no universal knob position for every speaker and room.
4. Test TV/BP50 CEC independently. Then record the amplifier’s actual power state. Separate those observations instead of calling the whole chain “CEC compatible”.
5. Only test TRIG after identifying a genuine compatible upstream output. Document the controller and cable rather than recording merely “3.5mm connected”.

Mini300 uses BTL speaker outputs. Its negative speaker terminals must not be shared or grounded. Follow the manual’s channel wiring; do not treat those terminals as a convenient common ground for another device.

## What would turn this into an owner-evidence case?

A useful submission would identify BP50 firmware, the exact Mini300, TV model and CEC settings, source selected, audio connections, controller if any, switch positions and repeatable startup/standby results. Include whether volume remains controllable after source changes and power recovery. A short video can show the command and both devices’ indicators without exposing account or network credentials.

One successful chain would support an Owner Evidence entry for that configuration. It would not prove universal TV interoperability, a failure rate or a sound-quality advantage. Repeated observations under a documented method would be needed for a broader claim.

**Unknown:** pair-specific listening performance, long-term reliability, a tested external trigger controller and automatic recovery after a power interruption. **SoundPath Lab Tested:** none for this pair. **Owner Evidence, Brand Response and Community Report:** no pair-specific result is used in this guide. Published manufacturer documentation is Primary-source Verified, not a direct Brand Response to our question.

## Where this fits in the existing coverage

Use the [BP50 product profile](https://www.soundpathlab.com/product-profile-arylic-bp50/) for the source hub’s wider role. Use the [B50/BP50 firmware guide](https://www.soundpathlab.com/arylic-b50-bp50-firmware-update-volume-fix/) for model-specific update instructions; it does not supply the missing trigger output. Our [owner responsibility method](https://www.soundpathlab.com/lifecycle-owner-responsibility-method/) explains how setup burden is assessed separately from performance.

The purchase decision here is concrete: keep the pair if manual amplifier switching suits your routine. If automatic power synchronisation is mandatory, solve the missing control source before buying a cable or declaring a compatibility fault.
